Spotify now lets you create seamless transitions between songs on your custom playlists

Spotify routinely debuts new playlist features for its users, but the company's latest update has the potential to dramatically alter custom mixes. Starting today, premium users will have access to a new tool for creating customized transitions within playlists.

Spotify Will Let You Create Transitions and Mix Playlists Like a DJ

To get started, select a playlist you want to add transitions to, or build a new one. As you set up your custom mixes, Spotify suggests blending tracks from the same or similar genres and tempos. The app will also provide the Camelot key and BPM data for each song to make it easier for you to harmonize your mix.

With the new Spotify playlist mix tool, you can control how songs transition, change the EQ, adjust the volume between tracks, and even make them flow seamlessly like an actual DJ set. Basically, playlists aren’t just playlists anymore. They’re mixes.
