The Philadelphia Flyers pulled goaltender Samuel Ersson during the second period of their Jan. 29 matchup against the New Jersey Devils. Flyers netminder Ivan Fedotov replaced Ersson between the pipes.

While the Flyers held their own in the first period of Wednesday night’s game at the Prudential Center, the middle frame was something you don’t save the video from. The Devils scored four times, drove Flyers starting goaltender Samuel Ersson from the net and went to a 5-0 payback victory.

It was the third shutout of the season for the 34-year-old netminder, but his first since Nov. 4. Allen has held down the fort well since Jacob Markstrom was sidelined by a sprained MCL, going 3-1-0 with a 1.
