Kelly Clarkson's highly anticipated Las Vegas residency opening was postponed hours before showtime because the singer needs vocal rest after demanding preparations.

Kelly Clarkson's Las Vegas residency didn't kick off as planned. Less than two hours before she was set to take the stage at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on July 4, Clarkson announced to fans that she was postponing the start of her residency because of vocal issues.

I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars. The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice,” she wrote in a statement shared on Instagram Friday.
