The Dallas Mavericks have fired general manager Nico Harrison, an admission nine months later that the widely criticised trade of Luka Doncic backfired on the franchise.

Harrison, 52, accepted responsibility for the trade and defended it by claiming there were concerns over Doncic's physique and commitment to conditioning.
