Palestinian militants have so far released 15 bodies of hostages that were held in Gaza for the past two years as part of the ceasefire agreement in the Israel-Hamas war.
After more than two years in captivity, the last 20 hostages abducted during Hamas's Oct. 7, 2023, attacks, have been released.
Some former captives have been sent home from the hospital. But a doctor said they all had “endured untold adversity,” as details emerge of their time in Gaza’s tunnels.
One body Hamas returned to Israel as part of the ceasefire deal "does not match any of the hostages," the Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday.
The last 20 living hostages released by Hamas are beginning a difficult path to recovery that will include rebuilding a sense of control over their lives and following a carefully supervised diet.

The IDF announced that according to information received, the Red Cross is on its way to the meeting point in the southern Gaza Strip, where several coffins of deceased hostages will be transferred into its custody.
