Ten communities throughout the state of Alabama are joining a nationwide protest effort on July 17 in response to recent ICE raids and health care cuts carried out by the Trump administration. The event has been dubbed the “Good Trouble Lives On” national day of action in honor of civil rights leader and Alabama native Congressman John Lewis,
Organizers have asked participants "to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values."
