Colts HC Shane Steichen may wait to see how his signal-callers perform in Indianapolis' preseason finale at the Cincinnati Bengals this coming Saturday before he names his Week 1 QB1.

The Colts’ quarterback battle between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones is going to come down to one thing: consistency. That’s according to head coach Shane Steichen, who said Saturday the deciding factor will boil down to which of the former first-round picks can produce a stable body of work in both play and decision-making.

When it came to putting references down, three people came to mind. One of them was his close personal friend and former New England Patriots quarterback Jacoby Brissett.
