Authorities in China are launching an investigation into Google over allegations that the company has breached the country's strong anti-monopoly laws.

Beijing retaliated soon after. China will impose a 15% tariff on imports of U.S. coal and liquefied natural gas, and a 10% tariff on crude oil, agricultural machinery, large engine cars, and pickup trucks, according to a statement from the Ministry of Finance.

The WTO confirmed Tuesday it received notice of China’s request for consultations with the United States regarding the tariffs imposed on Chinese goods. The move sets off a 60-d
