Poggi, 65, previously served in Ann Arbor as an analyst in 2016 then, after a stint leading the Panthers, was hired back as associate head coach in 2021 and 2022. Poggi was said to have played a major role in restoring balance to the program after a pandemic-stricken, 2-4 record in 2020.

Many surmised that Poggi could return to Ann Arbor, and it appears that's the case.
