TAMPA, Fla. - The Tampa Bay area is feeling the cold as a blast of arctic air brings lower temperatures to Florida. FOX 13 meteorologists say the front is still moving south on Tuesday, which will drop temps further and keep them low throughout the day. Chilly weather will continue for much of the week, as well.

"Luckily for Florida, the cold front, although still strong, is weakening as it moves eastward. There is still the chance for some isolated intense storms on Monday, especially across the central and eastern portions of the Panhandle North Florida, through the western part of the I-4 corridor."

Arctic air is expected to arrive in Florida next week. Highs in the 50s and 60s with lows in the 30s and 40s are expected for several days in the Tampa Bay area. While it will be chilly, snow is not in the forecast for the region.

Meteorologists are calling for “measurable” snow to begin falling Wednesday night on Dallas-Fort Worth. The rain-snow mix is expected to last into Friday, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
