Oscar-winning lyricist Alan Bergman, who co-wrote songs including 'The Way We Were' and 'The Windmills of Your Mind' with wife Marilyn Bergman, has died. He was 99.

Bergman and his wife Marilyn wrote the words for “The Way We Were,” “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” and the songs in the movie “Yentl.”

Legendary lyricist Alan Bergman died on Thursday (July 17) at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 99, it was announced Friday by family spokesman Ken Sunshine. His daughter Julie Bergman was present.
