Alabama football has one more game before it has an open week. And finally, it has a game not against a ranked opponent. That has yet to happen in SEC play. Every team the Crimson Tide has faced in the conference so far has been ranked.

As Herbstreit mentioned, the South Carolina Gamecocks are underperforming this season. South Carolina began the year ranked No. 13 and climbed as high as No. 10. They had College Football Playoff aspirations this season. But they’ve lost four of their last five games, including a 26-7 loss to the No. 13 Oklahoma Sooners at home last weekend.

South Carolina will be looking to pull off the upset as it hosts a red-hot Alabama team on Saturday in Columbia.
