This State Park is so very user-friendly. A few reasons I say that include 1) the honor system fee station 2) the ultra clean outhouses 3) the short distance between the parking area and the beach 4… Full review by Elise G

Beautiful crescent shaped beach with sand and some small, smooth rocks, looking out over an island dotted, sheltered ocean bay. This is a quiet area with another little cove just past the main beach… Full review by ClarkGriswold87

Drive up 295 to Bangor, then take us Route 1to Jonesboro. The sign for the state park is on the right. Or continue on Route 1 to Machias (6 miles more) and turn right on the Kennebec Rd and drive about 6 miles. Follow signs. There are motels, historical sites, restaurants and specialty shopping in Machias
