Hi Susan. We own a beach condo at the end of the north end of the strand where THE STRAND N, as it is referred to, meets Breakwater Way. At the intersection of Breakwater and Pacific is public parking and its a short block from there to the beginning of the strand. If you type in 999 N Pacific Street, which is the address for North Coast Village, you will be very close to the city parking lot. You could also type in Breakwater Way Beach Oceanside and it should give you a location.

The weather varies considerably. Year around surfers wear bodysuits because the currents off shore are cold. However, close to shore the warm is warmed by the sun. Typically noon to 2-3 pm are best for swimming. The weather can be unpredictable: very warm all day, or overcast and cold.
