I want to readdress the question I responded to a few days ago. Woodward Park prefers that hanging hammocks not be used. But, what I should have stated before is...I had seen them in my "Early Years", when I visited the park. But, if possible use the standing styles on the ground. And, contrary to personal opinions, about how to experience the park. I am now 60 yrs. of age and started going to the park, since I could drive in the mid 70's & before then with my parents on many Saturdays & Sundays. On several occasions, I never walked through the park on many, many beautiful days, but just sat in my car with the windows down, listening to some great music and sometimes even visiting with others picnicking out of the tailgate of their cars. And, once in awhile, even threw around frisbee's with total strangers! Nature's beauty can be always experienced in so many ways my friend...so take a blanket or "Standing Hammock" and find your own special place in the park and maybe lay on your back...relax, meditate, read, eat and look into the deep blue sky and enjoy new friends, that also need to just get away from everyday Rigor! Enjoy the park in so many different ways! Remember this...sometimes, "Parks & playgrounds are the soul of the city."
Q:
Are there walking trails? If so how long are they?
A:
No classic trails. Free spirited wandering. The trail system identified west actually goes well beyond the 6 miles.

March/April. The azaleas erupt and are stunning. In addition, there is an adjoining series of rose gardens immediately south. Philbrooks brunch is one of the top ten in Tulsa and is on Sunday. Attending brunch allows complimentary access to the museum and grounds which are spectacular. The grounds are stunning. Go with plenty of time to roam. Make reservations. They also have a lovely outdoor patio dining area weather permitting. Enjoy a great Tulsa treasure. MSA
Q:
Can my child ride his bike there?
A:
Sorta. There is the rose gardens. But that isn't a lot of space.
Q:
Can I bring a small dog into the park?
A:
We see dogs on leashes all the time.
