Overrated , there are much better places to see in Tokyo but if you are stopping in Shibuya you will probably see it anyway . Lots of tourists . Visited on 9th apr 2025Full review by davazno1

As others have said, you need to observe the crossing from above in order to get the best perspective. We stayed at street level, crossed back and forth, and did not get the full impact - that said,…Full review by Darlene M

It’s the center of Shibuya, so there’s everything to do here. I mean, the scrabble itself is a pedestrian crossing, but the Tokyu Food Show is underneath it, the Shibuya yokocho (along …

It’s the center of Shibuya, so there’s everything to do here. I mean, the scrabble itself is a pedestrian crossing, but the Tokyu Food Show is underneath it, the Shibuya yokocho (along with hundreds of other restaurants) is maybe 300 meters away, there’s a virtual reality place around the corner. Yoyogi Park is within walking distance, you can see a show at the Tokyo Orb theatre at the top of the Hikarie building, you can visit the D47 museum which has a different exhibit every month or so... there’s an insane amount to do in this area.

Not sure about restaurants but there is a big Starbucks on one corner. The window seats were very busy but I think you’d have a decent view.
