With your ticket you get an illustrated leaflet with map and short description of the most interesting rooms. Also, as you tour the rooms THERE ARE explanations on stands both on Polish and English. It's enough if you're not interested to tiny details. You can buy an audio guide at start, but I personally didn't find it necessary, and it's more time consuming.
Q:
Hi, how much time should I allow to visit the Castle?
A:
Actually a couple of hours is usually enough - depends on your level of interest in historical data. There is a lot there to see.
