Stunned at how badly designed this was. The exhibits had a lot of “walls” that crowded people into each other. Very dimly lit. There were interesting artifacts, but the presentation made it difficult…Full review by Marisa P

The museum had some great artifacts, but many of them had no captions. When there were captions, they were sometimes obscured (e.g. by a shadow and there was no light.) I really liked the architectu…Full review by Keith B

As you go through the metal gate off the street and onto the museum front grounds there is a ramp on your right. You can roll up there and across to the main entrance thus avoiding all the front steps. From the Reception hall to the first exhibit floor there are no steps. There are elevators to other floors. Bathrooms are accessible but some of the stalls are small.

I have read the other contributors and they are spot on. There are two O'Callaghan hotels that are fine and well located; the Alexander Hotel and the Mont Clare. Alexander is a little more expensive and better. Had I the money then a stay at the Shelbourne would be in order. It is an iconic hotel in the City and was recently the subject of a fly on the wall documentary that showed the character of the hotel and the staff. Dublin is not that big and basing yourself anywhere near the Museum will allow you access to many attractions, restaurants, and pubs.
