The Nassau County Museum of art is in a historic Roslyn mansion. When I went, there was a graffiti workshop which was cool, but other than that, I don’t think the museum has much to offer.Full review by Jack S

Technically they close at 4:45pm but they tend to ask patrons to leave earlier then that. In addition Gift shop closes about 30 minutes before museum closes

I suspect kids would not appreciate most or all of the museum exhibits. The park surrounding the museum has some nice large outdoor sculptures and people do picnic on the lawn at times, but this, too, is not much for kids.
Are there free passes available for the Museum or specific Exhibit?

There is an admission fee but as Mary said ask your library if they have passes. I think it is usually around $10 for the museum, no parking fee....at least on the weekend.
