Hello everyone - it is great that you all had a wonderful trip. I am trying to figure how to cut down costs/expenses. There seems to be a HUGE difference in price in using a taxi to get around the island versus a dala dala. Hi everyone! I have a question. I really enjoy swimming in the ocean. I was deciding whether to do a few days in Nungwi and a few in Matemwe in August and am wondering about the tides. Is it possible to swim or is it too shallow? Also, I want to go to Paje too. Thanks!

Where we stayed in Matemwa you cannot swim. There are literally thousands of sea urchins everywhere. You can't go in the water without water shoes.
