What a lovely place to while away the hours. We paid $7 to park and it was worth it. Such a beautiful, well maintained park and lake. Full review by Go678434

The entrance fee for both properties is exactly the same ($7 per vehicle with Indiana plates). I'd say that the view from both beaches is pretty much the same! The primary difference between the two beaches is that Fairfax is about 3x larger.

There is a charcoal grill located next to most of the shelters. Shelters may be reserved; otherwise, they are available first-come first-served.

Actually, you can fish on the south end of the Fairfax beach; I've done it several times and caught some carp and catfish; I've also walked the sidewalk on the north end of the beach to the other side of the point and caught fish along the concrete wall.

Beach access is included with property admission. Property admission is $7 per vehicle with Indiana license plate ($9 per vehicle with out-of-state plate). We have a beach at both Fairfax SRA and Paynetown SRA. They are open daily from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Swimming hours are dawn to dusk; however, the beach houses (with changing areas and showers) are only guaranteed open from 11:30 a .m. to 7 p.m.
