The MySQL server is running with the --secure-file-priv option so it can not execute this statement. The output of SHOW VARIABLES LIKE 'secure_file_priv'; is "C:\mySQL"
mysql -u root -p Enter your mysql root password Next, list out all the users and their host on the MySQL server. Unlike PostgreSQL this is often stored in the mysql database. So we need to select the mysql database first:
Taken from Using FOREIGN KEY Constraints Foreign key relationships involve a parent table that holds the central data values, and a child table with identical values pointing back to its parent. The FOREIGN KEY clause is specified in the child table. It will reject any INSERT or UPDATE operation that attempts to create a foreign key value in a child table if there is no a matching candidate ...
And change the root password: mysql> FLUSH PRIVILEGES; mysql> ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'MyNewPass'; Revert back the MySQL configuration file changes by removing skip-grant-tables line or commenting it with a # (hash). Finally restart the MySQL service and you are good to go.
